C. Paige Vickery has been appointed Interim Artistic Director of the Notes at 9000: Emerging Artist's Series. 

This Colorado based festival and competition selects musicians with exceptional talent, charisma and motivation to compete and receive sustainable career development assistance.  Ms. Vickery will be stepping in for founding Director, SoYoung Lee and joining Chair, Amy J Clark for the 2005-2006 Festival Season.

The Chattanooga Symphony and Opera Youth Orchestras have invited C. Paige Vickery for a week of workshops, master classes and concerts. Ms. Vickery can be seen in Chattanooga January 31st - February 7th , 2005.

Founded in 1949 so that area strings, wind and percussion students could have the opportunity to perform in a full orchestra, the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera Youth Orchestras have gone through many changes over the last fifty-one years. The CSO Youth Orchestras have grown from a single fifty-piece full orchestra to a Symphony Orchestra and a Philharmonic Orchestra each consisting of approximately sixty-five youth musicians and a Etude String Orchestra consisting of approximately forty youth musicians. The CSO Youth Orchestras are open to students ages 12 to 20 with serious interest in symphonic music.

C. Paige Vickery has been appointed Assistant Conductor of the 2004 Hot Springs Music Festival, AR.  She will be working with Artistic Director, Richard Rosenberg and the prestigious Hot Springs Music Festival Symphony Orchestra. 
The Festival Orchestra pairs world-class mentor musicians from major orchestras, chamber ensembles and conservatory faculties with especially talented pre-professional apprentices; the two groups play "side by side" in orchestral, chamber, solo recital, vocal, choral and chamber opera repertoire. For two weeks, these musicians form a unique community, presenting 23 concerts and over 250 open rehearsals for music lovers from across the globe.

Over 20,000 people attended Festival events last year, and an additional 6.4 million heard its concerts on nationwide radio broadcasts. As the second edition of The 100 Best Small Arts Towns in America noted, "the Hot Springs Music Festival has carved out a place on the nation's classical music map."

ANNOUNCING THE RESULTS OF THE 2003 VAKHTANG JORDANIA INTERNATIONAL CONDUCTING COMPETITION — TOP THREE FINISHERS FROM U.K., U.S. AND KOREA

New York, NY — The Vakhtang Jordania International Conducting Competition has announced the results of its 2003 competition held in Kharkov, Ukraine between September 1 and 7.

Jordania Grand Prize Winner was Michael Mishra, who is British and lives in Illinois. Michael is the Director of Orchestral Activities and conductor of the SIUE Chamber Orchestra at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois. He is the former Assistant Conductor of the Greeley Philharmonic in Colorado and has been Guest Conductor of the Bulgarian National Radio Orchestra, the Vratza Philharmonic and the Silesian State Opera of Opava, Czech Republic. We are especially pleased to announce this as Michael was already an alumnae of the first Jordania Conducting Competition in 2001.

The William Montague III Prize was awarded to C. Paige Vickery. She is American and lives in New York City. Ms. Vickery is the Music Director and Conductor of the Boulder Youth Symphony and former Music Director of the Pikes Peak Philharmonic and the Colorado Youth Symphony. She has guest conducted the Bombay Symphony Orchestra, the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra and the Centennial Philharmonic of Colorado. She will receive an engagement with the Kharkov Philharmonic during the 2004-2005 concert season.

Third Prize winner was Park Jong-Hwei, who is Korean and lives in Seoul. He is Chief Conductor of the Ulsan City Youth Symphony and Assistant Conductor of the New Philharmonic Orchestra of Pusan and Eunpyong Philharmonic Orchestra of Seoul. He has guest conducted the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the Fukuoka Symphony of Japan and the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra. He will also receive an engagement with the Kharkov Philharmonic during the 2004-2005 concert season.
